Carmen’s dream was simple- to see the beach for the last time.
When her daughter Tatiana contacted Dreams2Live4 last week, Carmen was in palliative care and time was critical.
Dream-maker Annabel swung into action with assistance of the palliative care social worker and the NSW Ambulance that night, Carmen’s dream came true. Surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren, she watched the sun set at Bright Le Sands beach- a spot she and her husband visited every day after work for 25 years.
“Mum made it to the beach. She loved it, we all loved it. It was the most incredible memory and we will forever be grateful to you and everyone else that made it possible. It’s amazing what you can do for families- such a beautiful gift. Thank you from the bottom of our thoughts Annabel” wrote her daughter Tatiana.
It was a simple dream that meant the world to Carmen and her beautiful family and we couldn’t be happier to have been part of it.
